The items in the Featherwork Gallery are made for dancers. They are not "wall hangers". Actually hanging up featherwork is a good way of getting your expensive fan destroyed by moths and other critters. Most people keep their feathers in specially constructed feather boxes made of cedar. Other people keep them in containers with mothballs. But when they come out of their boxes featherwork fans have a beauty unlike anything else. You just aren't dressed properly for a pow-wow without a nice fan. Dancers learn to take special care of their feathers at an early age but featherwork items must still be sturdily constructed, especially bustles. You won't find bustles here but there are a few nice fans and scalp feathers.
